Rockclimbing, Abseiling, Indoor Climbing and bouldering with Kilfinane Outdoor Education & Training Centre, Limerick.
Climbing is an excellent sport to develop fitness, strength and flexibility. Introductory sessions take place on our Indoor Rockwall, which is designed for all abilities and includes bouldering, roped climbs of varying difficulty, over-hanging climbs and lead climbs. Outdoor Rockclimbing and Abseiling are based nearby at local crags. We provide training for indoor climbing, belay skills, abseiling and outdoor climbing.
Schools Bouldering Competition
Our annual schools bouldering competition takes place each year in November/ December. This competition is open to 1st and 2nd year students and no experience is required. Bouldering is low level un-roped climbing. Students complete 10 bouldering challenges in any order trying to maximise their score. Prizes are awarded for overall winners and best effort in each school.
After School Rockclimbing: Our Youth Climbing Academy for 8-12yrs takes place after school in block terms throughout the school year. Check out our online booking section for dates. You can also find information about your nearest climbing club on the Mountaineering Ireland website.
