OUTDOOR LEARNING ACCESS PROGRAMME IN CONJUNCTION WITH HOSPITAL FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE

Course dates: Tuesday 9th November, Tuesday 30th November, Thursday 2nd December, Tuesday 7th December, Thursday 9th December 2021

Times:

9.25am            Bus departs Hospital Family Resource Centre V35 RP26

9.50am            Arrive at Kilfinane Outdoor Education and Training Centre  V35 R590

                        Registration, Tea/Coffee

10.00am          Activity session

12.30pm          Return to Kilfinane OETC, LIGHT LUNCH

1.00pm            Bus departs for Hospital FRC

1.30pm            Arrive Hospital Family Resource Centre

Suitable for: Adults offered a course place by Hospital Family Resource Centre

Activities:

  • Forest walk in the Ballyhoura Mountains
  • Experience Lough Gur – choice to explore Lough Gur in Sit-on-Top Kayak or learn about the history of the area on foot.
  • Orienteering
  • Hillwalk & basic navigation
  • Campcraft skills & outdoor lunch

What to bring:  We will supply you with all specialist equipment including rain gear, walking boots etc. You just need comfortable warm clothing suitable for outdoor activities ( denim clothing is not suitable)

Refreshments:  Tea/ Coffee and biscuits and a light lunch are provided each day. Please bring a bottle of water for activities.
