Leave No Trace
Leave No Trace is an Outdoor Ethics Programme designed to promote and inspire responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships. Techniques designed to minimise the social and environmental impacts to the outdoors are incorporated into the Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics Education Programme as seven principles.
The Seven Principles of Leave No Trace
- Plan Ahead & Prepare
- Be Considerate of Others
- Respect Farm Animals and Wildlife
- Travel and Camp on durable ground
- Leave What you Find
- Dispose of Waster Properly
- Minimise the Effects of Fire
All Instructors at Kilfinane OEC have been trained in the principles of Leave No Trace. The LNT principles are included in all courses and we offer certified Leave No Trace awareness sessions as an option on all our Outdoor Programmes.
We run LNT awareness and Instructor Courses on demand. Please contact our office to register your interest.
Kilfinane OETC is a recognised Leave No Trace training centre.
