Canoeing Ireland Level 2 Kayak Instructor Training 

Date: Monday 29th/ Tuesday 30th July 2024

Times: 9:15am – 5:00pm

Location: Canoeing Ireland Training Hub, Lower Road Strawberry Beds, Chapelizod, Dublin 20, D20 CD96

Course Tutor: Keith Bickford ( Kilfinane OETC)

Course fees paid directly by UCDCC (participants to sort fees with club)

Suitable for: Adults 18+ , Reserved for participants offered places via UCD Canoe Club

To attend this course you must meet the following pre-entry requirements

1. Be a current member of Canoeing Ireland
2. Have begun training for the Level 3 Kayak Skills Award
3. Be at least 16 years of age at the time of application
4. Have unrestricted access to a fully equipped kayak, personal equipment and additional equipment as listed for a Level 2 Kayak Instructor Assessment. Click here for equipment list.

Please note: You will be required to prepare some work in advance of this training course. An email with details will be sent two weeks in advance. It is also a good idea to get in any relevant practice that you can in advance e.g. instructing, practicing rescues, rolls etc.
